Case Sizes?

Cases sizes are variable to fit your requirements. Two standard boxes are used suitable for 100 or 200 units per case, orders where the number of units of a product are less than 100 will be supplied in mixed cases.

How are Astronaut Foods made?

Freeze-drying, or lysophilization, removes water from the food by lowering the air pressure to a point where ice shifts from a solid to a gas. The food is placed in a vacuum chamber and frozen until the water crystalizes. The air pressure is lowered, creating a vacuum, forcing air out of the chamber; next heat is applied, vapourising the ice; finally a freezing coil traps the vaporized water. This process continues for hours, resulting in a perfect freeze-dried Astronaut Food.

Can You Ship Outside the UK?

Yes, All of our Astronaut Foods can be shipped anywhere within the EU. Shipping outside the UK is charged at £22.50 per case of 200 units (160 strawberries pkts per case) for all orders.

How long do the products last?

All of our freeze-dried products have a shelf life of 3 years!
Use by dates are printed on the packaging.

What is your minimum order quantity?

We have a minimum order of 50 mixed packets. Orders over £250.00 receive free shipping, orders under this value are charged £7.50 plus VAT.
